Privacy Policy

Nothing you type into a calculator leaves your browser. This page explains what is collected and by whom.

Last updated: September 2026. This is a template. Have it reviewed against your jurisdiction and your actual analytics and advertising setup before launch.

Calculator inputs

Every calculation runs in your browser. Salary, hourly rate, deductions, dependents and state are never transmitted to a server and are never stored. Inputs appear in the page address so that a result can be bookmarked or shared, and that address is the only place they persist. There is no account and no email capture anywhere on this site.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure which pages are used and which calculators are run. It records events such as a calculation completed or a pay stub downloaded, along with the page, an approximate location and the device type. It does not record the values you enter. IP addresses are anonymised.

Advertising and cookies

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.

Where required, a consent banner is shown before any advertising or analytics cookie is set, and advertising is served non-personalised to users who decline.

Data we hold

If you email us, we hold that email and any figures you choose to include, for as long as it takes to answer and to make any correction. We do not add you to a list, because there is no list.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be deleted, and object to analytics processing. Write to the address on the contact page. Since the calculators store nothing, in almost every case the answer is that we hold nothing.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

These figures are estimates for informational purposes and are not tax advice. Actual withholding depends on your employer’s payroll system, your year-to-date wages and your specific W-4. Federal rates come from IRS Rev. Proc. 2025-32 and the SSA 2026 announcement; state rates come from each state’s own withholding guide, with the source and verification date published on every state page. Read the methodology, or see who maintains this data.
